Typically when I have the opportunity to speak with women, I share with them what I call my “Abundant C’s” for developing a forever legacy. They include Cash, Character, Collectibles and Connections.
Cash – If you don’t manage it well, you won’t have anything to leave. So what can be done beginning today to do a better job of accumulating wealth?
Character – The details of our calendar often give insights into our character. How are we living our lives to make a positive influence for those who come in contact with us and for those who come after us?
Collectibles – Stuff is just stuff unless we can tie it to memories. There is only so many shoes we can wear, so many cars we can drive, so much jewelry we can wear … but if we make memories with our stuff, the value is significantly increased when it’s given as a going-away gift.
Connections – John Steinbeck said, “How will our children know who they are if they don’t know where they came from. My books give our children the opportunity to know who they are. Do visit www.iwantyoutoknowme.com to see how fun and easy this C in your legacy could be built.
Today as you go through the rituals that make up your day, stop to think if what you are doing is adding to the Abundant Cs of your legacy, or not.
Happy 79th Birthday Mom!!!
